Globe Dye Works contains a unique mix of commercial, light industrial, and residential space. In 2012, GDW was the first building in Philadelphia awarded IRMX zoning, a new zoning classification meant to aid in the adaptive re-use of former industrial structures throughout the city. Globe Dye Works has a dozen residential units throughout the building, varying in layout and size. All of our live/work spaces are currently leased.

COMING IN 2020 ..... Brand New Globe Dye Works Studios

The Globe Dye Works project, over a decade in the making, is anticipated to be completed in 2020 after renovations to 20,000 + square feet of undeveloped space are finished. The largest of these spaces are the 2nd and 3rd floors of what is known as the K Building, pictured below. The 2nd floor is tentatively planned to be developed into several small studios (300-600 sf each) while the third floor can be rented in full or divided up. If you are looking for 9,000 square feet for your business in the next year, please contact us. This section of the building features a freight elevator and drive in loading bay off of Torresdale Avenue.
